Family for Fortune? How to Have a Balance

Citing the statistic that the number one regret of Fortune 500 CEOs was that their kids hated them, Frank Luntz spent the last five minutes of his panel talking about the important of spending time with your children. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the busyness of business and lose out on quality-time with your children. But how does that actually effect your kids? Here’s Luntz run-down of how to raise happy and healthy kids that are 90 percent less likely to get involved in drugs and alcohol:

1)    Have dinner with your kids

2)    Take them to church/temple

3)    Check their homework

4)    Know their friends/whereabouts

5)    Take week-long vacations

6)    Participate in team sports

And who knows, for the CEOs out there who make this a priority, they might just find themselves number one at home as well as at the office.
