Vistage Member Cate Dyer, CEO of StemExpress, named to Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 Under 40

San Diego, CA, November 3, 2014— Cate Dyer, CEO of StemExpress in Placerville, CA has been named to the Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list. The 40 were selected by a panel of independent judges for this award because of their considerable leadership skills, entrepreneurial savvy and intense community involvement. Dyer and her fellow award winners will be honored at an evening reception on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Mix Downtown.

In 2010, Dyer founded StemExpress, a multi-million dollar company that supplies human blood, tissue products, primary cells and other clinical specimens to biomedical researchers around the world to fuel regenerative medicine and translational research. The company now operates more than 30 procurement sites across the United States and delivers product to hundreds of researchers worldwide. Since opening its doors, the company’s revenue has grown 1,315 percent under Dyer’s leadership, and was named one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States for 2014 by Inc. 500.

Prior to founding StemExpress, Dyer spent 14 years in the health care and medical research industry. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, Sacramento. She maintains a close relationship with the university, regularly hiring graduates.
