Vistage Chair Brant Houston expanded Texas Territory with the launch of his newest private advisory board for chief executives in Montgomery County.

San Diego, September 18, 2015— Vistage was introduced into Montgomery County, Texas by Brant Houston, long-time CEO, Vistage member, group Chair, Best Practice Chair, and Regional Executive. The new Vistage Group held its inaugural meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at Wellbenders Directional Services on Highway 105 in Connroe. Members meet monthly to discuss business issues, share expertise, and provide one another confidential help to achieve their goals. Previously, local business owners and CEOs in Montgomery County were required to travel to groups centered in Houston to gain the Vistage experience.

Brant is part of a community of more than 800 Chairs worldwide who lead local area groups, which total more than 45,000 members in 35 countries, including 15 Chairs and more than 500 Members in the Houston area.

Vistage Executive Vice President of Field Operations, Larry Hawks, applauded his success: “Brant brings an amazing amount of experience to his new members. As a former member, previous Chair, Best Practice Chair, and Regional Executive Brant brings over 20 years of successful experience to his members. Brant has a great combination of skill and passion for our mission that will help his new members achieve more than they ever imagined possible. Congratulations!”

Brant is a 1967 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. On his 27th birthday, he left the Coast Guard to found his own company with a $50 investment. Over the next 27 years with the help of his Vistage Group, Brant grew the company to 140 employees and $15M in revenue before selling to a public company. Since then, he has chaired 3 Vistage Groups with 45 members, served as Best Practice Chair in support of 44 Group Chairs, and led Vistage’s 5-state Southern Region as Regional Executive — with responsibility for 53 Chairs and more than 1500 members. Between Vistage meetings and consulting assignments, Brant and his wife Jeanne find time for tennis, boating, travel, and maintaining relationships with their 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Having now failed retirement three times, Brant is looking forward to fueling his passion for learning and for making a difference by chairing a Vistage Group once again — to complete his third 27-year cycle.
