Lunch Session | Inside sales DNA: The “secret” to motivating today’s salespeople

Presenter: Steve Heroux, Founder and CEO, Victory Selling

Success in sales today isn’t about using magic scripts, manipulative techniques, old-school tactics or using carrots and sticks to drive performance. It’s about understanding what drives each individual salesperson and knowing what “motivators” are causing them to underperform. More importantly, you must identify and understand what lives in their Sales DNA, which is made up of their internal thoughts, beliefs, motivations, competencies, and skillsets. If you can accomplish this with each one of your salespeople, you'll have the key to unlocking their full potential and ensure they perform to their highest level possible.

12:30 - 1:30 pm

Lunch Session | Opportunity zones & real estate private equity – Key concepts

Presenter: Chris Loeffler, CEO and Co Founder, Caliber

Since the opportunity zone program was established in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, taxpayers have had the ability to take advantage of a significant new tax incentive that concurrently benefits low-income communities. The program provides investors with the chance to reinvest capital gains into designated opportunity zones in order to defer or eliminate taxes.

12:30 - 1:30 pm

Lunch Session | Should I grow my business, sell it, or give it to the kids?

Presenter: Dave Heymann, Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor, Generational Group, Vistage Speaker

Should I grow, sell, or give my business to the kids? And how do I do those things? Most entrepreneurs work hard and HOPE that generates the growth they want. Sellers typically find a buyer, negotiate a price and HOPE they get paid that amount of money. HOPE is not a strategy. During this session attendees will learn how a business is actually valued by buyers and what forces drive value up or down. We will also discuss the CORRECT way to grow a business INTENTIONALLY so that the return justifies the risk of owning a privately-held company.
