Event Overview

Lead the way together.

You are the pioneers of your time. Innovating. Riding the wave of disruption. Being the disruptors. When you think you’ve found a foothold, things change. And yet — you still lead fearlessly.

You are here, because the best is not enough. You know what you’re capable of, and your peers support you. You are leading the way — together. With an impact that resonates from business, to community, to the world.

Diverse perspectives. Collective wisdom. Shared experience.

Your Vistage Executive Summit is a day to gather with peers who uniquely understand your triumphs and challenges. From cutting-edge speakers, to hot-button breakout sessions. It’s an opportunity to step away from the minutiae of the day-to-day to work on your business, rather than just in it.

Think of it as a synergy of the resources you leverage all year.

Lend your voice to a conversation incomplete without your insights.

Maybe, you’re feeling overwhelmed. Or, you fear being left behind. Though it can feel lonely at the top, know this — you are not in it alone. Roll up your sleeves and gain actionable new ideas to bring back to your team.

Your leadership journey is unique to you. Join your peers on this day, and consider the mountains you’ll move tomorrow.

Build an excellence engine

Inconsistent excellence doesn’t count in your customer’s mind. We are all excellent once in a while, but not many companies deliver high-quality products and services almost every single day. In this talk, you’ll learn the systems and strategies used by the great companies of our time that have risen above their competitors, including Chick-fil-A, Disney, Apple and Harley Davidson. These aren’t theories from an outsider, but practical methods and insider examples. The answer is not to care more or try harder. That only gets short-term results. No, if you want more excellence than you have today, you need to build a different engine.

Breakout sessions

7:30 - 8:30 AM

Morning Breakout Session | From funnel to flywheel – Igniting company growth

Presenter: Lori Turner-Wilson, CEO/Founder, RedRover

Only one percent of leads generate revenue for most B2B companies. Marketers waste 99 percent of their time and money on leads that will never become customers. Traditionally, marketing's success has been measured by the ability to generate leads. In theory, through content marketing, a volume of leads pour into the funnel and trickle through to become new revenue which is terribly inefficient. The B2B funnel is broken, and lead volume alone is just a vanity metric. Abandon the archaic funnel and adopt a sales and marketing flywheel using account-based marketing techniques that truly break through and create sustainable growth.

7:30 - 8:30 AM

Afternoon Breakout Session | Building value for a future exit

Presenter: Dave Heymann, Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor, Generational Group

Years from now, most business owners will be dismayed to learn all of the things that they should have been doing to build value in their business. Far too often, business owners don’t prepare an exit strategy until they are ready to exit and that is too late to learn how to build value. What is the value of the business today and what should owners be doing to increase that value over time? Should I sell in the future or seek a strategic partner now to give me the resources to build the business in the future? Is the value in the future going to be in my P&L or my intangible assets? Dave Heymann, Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor with Generational Group will answer these questions and more:

  • What are the best options OTHER than selling

  • How value is REALLY determined in a business

  • How to enhance the value of your company LONG before exiting

11:55 - 1:25 PM

Afternoon Breakout Session | Transitioning from London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) – Frost Bank’s Approach

Presenter: Mark Brell, Executive Vice President | Global Trade Services, Frost Bank

In 2017, regulators announced the phasing out of LIBOR in 2021. An estimated $200 trillion (USD) in derivatives, variable-rate mortgages, auto loans, commercial loans, credit cards and other financial products are tied to USD LIBOR interest rates. Frost, which has helped people manage their money for over 150 years, has focused on the transition since 2017 and will share information on:

  • Defining LIBOR and its purpose

  • Options for replacing LIBOR

  • Frost’s approach to LIBOR’s departure

In his session, Frost Executive Vice President Mark Brell will share details regarding LIBOR’s exit and Frost’s plan for loans tied to LIBOR rates.

11:55 - 1:25 PM
