The feelings of anxiety, helplessness, fear and anger are nearly universal in the aftermath of a severe trauma, such as a natural disaster. Approximately 7.7 million adults are affected by PTSD each year. Forensic psychologist Dr. Roy Aranda has been active in psychological aid work following tragedies on 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the Sandy Hook shooting and more.
