Marketing in the Round

Gini Dietrich and Geoff Livingston look really happy don’t they?  Well, they should be happy.  They are proud co-authors of one of the few marketing books out there that can actually help you market your organization.  The book is titled Marketing in the Round.

I’ve adopted a personal goal this year of reading at least a book a week.  So as you can imagine, depending on the book, some weeks are more enjoyable and valuable than others.  I’d like to thank Gini and Geoff for treating me to a good week!

While I’d love to tell you all about the book, I’d rather you read their words than mine.  In their entirety.  For now, let me offer three reasons you should buy a copy:

1) There are thousands of books out there that will tell you all about the why and the what.  Very few offer anything valuable as to how.  Marketing in the Round provides you with the requisite advice and resources you can easily apply to your own business.

2) There are more marketing tools available today than ever before.  So whether you’re launching a new company or rethinking how you are currently marketing a more mature organization, Marketing in the Round is a great place to start.  It will focus your attention where it belongs – on audiences and goals – rather than on marketing’s latest bright, shiny object.

3) This book is not a one and done.   It’s the kind of book you’ll want to read from cover to cover and keep close as a handy reference.   You’ll undoubtedly receive value for years to come.

What’s more, the authors draw from a range of resources – everything from the most contemporary research/thinking on marketing integration to The Book of Five Rings, by seventeenth-century Japanese samurai Miyamoto Musashi.   It’s my kind of book.  I believe you’ll find it to be your kind of book as well!  Enjoy!

Leo: You rock, thank you so much for your support. I’d also like to thank you for helping and encouraging me when I was a new blogger just making my way into this fine social web.  You were and still are a star!  Much obliged, sir!

  2. Geoff, that’s very kind of you to say.  The truth is, you were always better at attracting a larger audience.  To keep me going, I’ve always acknowledged that my audience may be small, but really high quality.  Knowing that you were among those who have followed my posts over the years simply underscores my belief.  Thanks for reading.  Maybe someday you and Gini can give me some tips about writing a book!
