Vistage members DeLinda Forsythe and Heather Ulz honored by the San Diego Business Journal for their contributions to the San Diego business community

San Diego, CA, November 6, 2014— Vistage member DeLinda Forsythe was honored as a recipient of the San Diego Business Journal 2014 Women Who Mean Business Award, and fellow member Heather Ulz was selected as a finalist. They were honored at an awards reception on Wednesday, November 5 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego. This longstanding awards program, now in its 21st year, celebrates the exceptional women who have made a difference in San Diego’s business, cultural and civic scenes.

DeLinda Forsythe is the president/CEO of Innovative Commercial Environments, an independent contract furniture dealership offering new or refurbished furniture for commercial, military, educational, hospitality, and healthcare projects. ICE was named to the Inc. 5000 in 2013 and the SDBJ Top 100 fastest growing companies in 2013 and 2014. Forsythe is an active supporter of TERi, the Carlsbad Boys & Girls Club of America, and Reality Changers, a San Diego nonprofit that provides support to disadvantaged youth in order to help them become first generation college students.

Heather Ulz is the chief operating officer of LifePro Financial Services, Inc., a premier distributor of life, annuity, and long-term care and securities based insurance products serving over 5,000 financial professionals nationwide. Under her leadership, LifePro was able to recover from the effects the economic crisis had on the insurance industry as a whole. The company has achieved a 25 percent increase in overall sales for the past four years, enabling it to expand the footprint and secure new space while maintaining an exemplary company culture.
