Vistage Member Rose Wang Honored as One of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs

SAN DIEGO, CA, OCTOBER 25, 2013—Vistage member Rose Wang was honored during the 2013 Most Powerful Women Summit as one of ten women chosen by Fortune as the Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs in 2013. This program recognizes ten entrepreneurs each year who are extraordinary innovators, groundbreakers, and game changers and whose companies have revenues in the $1 million to $25 million range. The Summit took place on October 15-19, 2013 in Washington, DC.

Wang is the founder and CEO of Binary Group, an award-winning, minority, woman-owned small business (WOSB) providing technology solutions, training, program management, and consulting to the Federal Government. Their practice areas encompass financial management, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and analytics, population health, and mission systems support.

As founder and CEO of Binary Group, Wang has guided the overall corporate vision and strategy for the company since its inception in 1996. She is the progenitor of Binary Group’s Outcome Driven Enterprise Approach™. Prior to founding Binary Group, she was a pivotal engineering team member for Lighthouse Design, a Silicon Valley startup company, chief architect for the venture-backed start-up InLine Software, and she founded an online women’s business community, iBizWomen.com.

Ms. Wang is actively involved in many organizations, speaking frequently on matters specific to technology, business growth strategies, entrepreneurship, and government contracting. She is a member of the National Women’s Business Council; a board member of the Association for Enterprise Information, a division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA); and is on the executive advisory board for Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). She was a past member of the board of directors for the Association of Corporate Growth – National Capital Region and Women in Technology. Most recently, she was awarded the Woman Government Contractor of the Year Award at the American Express OPEN for Government Contracts (OGC) Summit for Success.

Wang earned her Master’s Degree in Computer Science from University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Beijing Polytechnic University.
