The Great Recession has transformed previously long-held notions of success — not just how to achieve it but the very definition of the word. It's no longer enough to stuff the coffers; your brand must also give back if it is to be deemed successful. Serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Lynda Resnick believes that every company can "do well by doing good," a point she routinely proves in her blog, where she profiles entrepreneurs who are bettering the world while increasing their bottom lines.

Lynda will explain the three critical components to brand success – value, unique selling proposition, and transparency/community – and their roles in the new economy. Through her business experience and case examples from her best-selling book and blog columns (Ask Lynda and Ruby Tuesday), Webinar attendees will learn how to reorient their businesses to survive the recession and lead the new generation of entrepreneurs.

• Understanding the new consumer in this recession

• Approaching problem solving by thinking inside the box

• Identifying the intrinsic value of your product or service and to communicate it to your customers in a creative and efficient way

• Essential ingredients of a good unique selling proposition

• Why transparency and community are the seismic shift in the way you need to do business in the 21st century

Lynda Resnick is Vice Chairman of Roll International. Dubbed the "POM Queen," she is behind the marketing success of POM Wonderful, the wildly popular 100% pomegranate juice that created an entirely new product category out of a fickle and obscure fruit. Resnick reveals her secrets for creating memorable brands and pioneering fresh approaches to launch and promote them in her best-selling book, Rubies in the Orchard: How to Uncover the Hidden Gems in Your Business.

Resnick and her husband Stewart also own Teleflora (the world's largest floral-by-wire company), FIJI Water (the leading imported bottled-water brand in the United States), Paramount Farms and Paramount Citrus Companies. Resnick is Vice Chairman of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Board of Trustees. She serves on the executive boards of The Aspen Institute, UCLA Medical Sciences, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Milken Family Foundation, and is a trustee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
