My business experience

Since 1995, I have been the owner of Moore & Prokop, Inc., an executive coaching / business advisory firm (clients include Great Clips, ING Insurance, Edward Jones). Previously I served as Account Director, Fallon Advertising, where I directed the full range of agency services for such clients as Ralston Purina, Hush Puppies and Jim Beam. Prior to that, I served as General Manager, of the $250 million Land ‘O Lakes Butter Division in Minneapolis, with full P/L responsibility. In this position I introduced the brand to the West Coast, a venture resulting in 18% growth. I also held the position of Marketing Manager, Yoplait Yogurt, Cheerios, at General Mills, where I managed new product rollouts, product and brand development and sales/trade/advertising programs.

My Vistage experience

I launched my first Vistage Chief Executive group in July, 2007. I plan to launch a Key Executive Group later this year. I encourage members to focus on taking their companies to the next level, whether that’s increased growth/revenue, a clear succession/exit plan and/or a less stressful life.

My Vistage groups

Members of my Vistage group include leaders in a wide array of industries, including: software development, Internet travel, community banking, residential systems integration, nutraceutical manufacturing and dental lab manufacturing.

Group members (five men, two women) are highly entrepreneurial and focused on growing their companies—many in fast-growth mode.

Who is the “ideal” Vistage member?

The ideal member is one who has an experience level that others will benefit from, the passion to take their organization to the “next level,” the courage to share their issues and challenges with the group and the willingness to be candid in a respectful way.

I have a BA from Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif., and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. I have a CPCC from the Coaches Training Institute and I am certified in PDI Profilor 360° Feedback Instruments and 360° Feedback from the Center for Creative Leadership.

I greatly enjoy hiking, wine-tasting and traveling in Europe. I believe in designing one’s life and business with purpose and passion.
