Vistage Chair Erica Peitler Honored as One of New Jersey’s 2013 Best 50 Women in Business

SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY (March 21, 2013) — Leadership performance coach and Vistage Chair, Erica Peitler, has just been recognized by NJBiz magazine and Wells Fargo as one of New Jersey’s 2013 Best 50 Women in Business. The award acknowledges women business leaders who are influential in their companies, industries and communities, and women who are shaping the economic future of New Jersey. Erica was chosen for her accomplishments in business, the impact she has on her community and her advocacy for women.

Erica is the owner of Erica Peitler & Associates, Inc., a leadership coaching & consulting firm. She has more than 20 years of business/leadership experience in the healthcare industry, having served as a General Manager/Executive VP for Divisions of large corporations ranging from $60 million to $400 million in revenues and chief scientific officer for a consumer healthcare organization, as well as leading several start-up entrepreneurial initiatives within large organizations.
She is also a Chair with Vistage International, Inc. Each month, Erica facilitates dynamic meetings with a group of 15-18 CEOs and provides executive leadership guidance to each member. As a Vistage Chair, Erica develops and shares concepts, models and frameworks for her group to learn from, draw practical insights and grow both professionally and personally. Her role transcends that of a mere consultant; as a Vistage Chair she facilitates core business issues and problems of her members.

In addition to coaching high-level executives, Peitler spends much of her time doing pro bono work in her region, including working with The Healthcare Business Women’s Association, Executive Women of New Jersey, and the Bristol-Myers Squibb Women in Science initiative. “I enjoy reaching out and connecting through pro bono talks,” Erica says, “Everyone—regardless of their level or role —is on a leadership journey. The question I am always curious about is whether we’re aware of it. I’m energized by people who want to learn about leadership presence or learn to communicate differently. If I’m invited to speak in my community on a topic I am passionate about and there is room in my schedule, I speak.”

The awards ceremony took place on March 21, 2013, at the Palace at Somerset Park, where nearly 500 guests gathered to celebrate this year’s class of outstanding business women—50 women who share a commitment to their professions, community and to the advocacy for women.
