Vistage Chair Bob James launches new private advisory board for chief executives in Charlotte, NC
San Diego, November 17, 2015— Vistage Chair Bob James has recently launched a new chief executive group in the Charlotte, North Carolina market. The new Vistage members will meet monthly to discuss business issues, share expertise, and provide one another confidential help to achieve their goals. James is part of a community of more than 800 Chairs worldwide who lead local area groups, which total more than 45,000 members in 35 countries.

Bob James’ banking career spans nearly 40 years. He served as President and CEO of First Charter Bank, a $5 billion publicly traded Charlotte regional bank; and as North Carolina President and CEO for Fifth Third Bank, a $130 billion regional bank, before retiring in 2012. He currently serves as Senior Advisor for Grant Thornton, LLP. Bob has expertise in strategic planning, governance, mergers and acquisitions, credit and financial analysis, operations and marketing. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill, and a Master’s from the LSU Graduate School of Banking. Bob enjoys helping businesses and business leaders grow and reach their full potential.
