Pittsburgh Vistage Chair Dick Singer Receives 2013 Hyndman Award

San Diego, CA (May 21, 2014)— Pittsburgh and Cleveland Best Practice Chair Dick Singer has been named the recipient of the 2013 Hyndman Award. The award was presented by Delaware Valley Regional Executive Lisa Sable during the VCG meeting at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna, Ohio.

This award, named for former Vistage President and longtime Vistage Chair Pat Hyndman, recognizes a Chair or former Chair who, in the past year, has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the Vistage community and has given unselfish and immeasurable service—usually involving actions that go far beyond the normal responsibilities of a Chair.

Dick joined Vistage as a Chair in 2003 and was named Best Practice Chair for Pittsburgh and Northeast Ohio in 2011. Following the passing of Chair Bob Wagner in October, Dick stepped in to help transition Bob’s CE and Key groups. He acted as temporary Chair for several months while making arrangements for a full transition, providing unwavering support for Bob’s members and family during a difficult time.

“When reviewing candidates for the Hyndman Award, we work to select a Chair who truly represents the spirit of Vistage in a special way,” said Larry Hawks, EVP Field Operations. “Dick’s selfless leadership during a difficult time for Bob’s family and his members truly represent the essence of Vistage. Pat Hyndman would be proud to know that Dick is this year’s recipient of the Hyndman Award.”

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dick graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
