Susan Germaine
My business experience
I have been a management consultant for more than 20 years and founded Germaine Consulting in 1999. My management consulting firm specializes in helping senior management align their words and actions with the organizational results they want. We focus on the interplay of leadership and culture and how to significantly increase our clients' growth and profitability.
Prior to starting my own business, I was a consultant with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). My role was to lead teams in the design and implementation of change management strategies for companies undergoing major restructuring or process improvement. Later I took on the role of the executive team's human resources advisor to the firm's offices in Asia and in Europe, assisting with the rollout of global initiatives.
I began my career as Associate Director of Admission for Michigan State University. During that time completed a Masters Degree, an MBA and did my doctoral work in Organizational Behavior.
My Vistage experience
I started my first CEO group in 2001. I now run two groups.
If you have the right group of CEOs and trust the group's collective knowledge, members can achieve their business and personal goals much faster and with far fewer mistakes. They will make better decisions and get better results by being a member.
My Vistage groups
My groups represent a wide range of industries, including architecture, co-packing, design, nuclear power, distribution, e-commerce, marketing, consulting, window wall engineering, manufacturing (paint formulation and commercial marking), food products, residential building, not-for-profit, and packaging.
Who is the "ideal" Vistage member?
The ideal member is curious, broad-minded, and serious about improving his or her business and leadership. My members are committed, good problem-solvers, and open to new ideas.
