My business experience

I have more than 30 years' experience working in human resources and organizational development. I have worked as an internal and external practitioner in many industries, including telecommunications, computer/data processing, manufacturing, insurance, finance, health care, hotel management, food services, transportation, education and publishing. Much of my career has included work on a global basis in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

My Vistage experience

I have been a Vistage Chair since 2000. Currently I lead Vistage Chief Executive group 387 for CEOs and owners of companies averaging $40 million in revenue; Vistage Small Business group 215 for CEOs and owners of companies under $5 million; and Vistage Key Executive group 739 for key executives of small and mid-sized companies. I also lead a group of Vistage alumni members.

My Vistage groups

Members of the Chief Executive group are leaders of a wide array of industries, including point-of-purchase display, printing broker, trade associations, law firm, advertising, industrial linen supply, strategic events planning, hospital and IT consulting.

Members of the Small Business group are leaders of a variety of industries, including accounting, medical school, HR outsourcing, graphic design, IT consulting, public relations, advertising, manufacturing and retail sales.

Executives in the Key Executive group work in such industries as wealth management, architecture, recycling services, health training products, manufacturing, point-of-purchase display, advertising, construction/demolition and IT consulting.

Who is the "ideal" Vistage member?

The ideal Vistage member is a man or woman who wants to do better and who is willing to work at helping himself or herself and others grow, professionally and personally. My members are authentic, empathetic, experienced, vulnerable, courageous, curious, ethical and committed.

My education includes an MEd in Educational Leadership and Psychology, continuous post-graduate certification in organization development, sales management and training, adult education and coaching.

I am affiliated with Literacy Volunteers, Parenthesis and Walk-In Ministry. I have earned certification in Quality Management and numerous training and organization development programs. I am listed in Who's Who of Entrepreneurs and Who's Who Among Professionals.
